Description

This is a pair of sandstone gate piers located at the entrance to the churchyard south of the Church of St Wilfrid. They likely date from around the time the church was built in 1792, which has since been demolished. The gate piers have a square section and feature alternative rustication, a cornice, and a pyramidal cap.
