Description
The family vault, also described as a small mausoleum, is located immediately northeast of the Church of St Stephen. It was built in the early to mid-19th century using local rubble and features a hipped slate roof with a crested ridge. The structure has a small rectangular plan, with corner pins and a dividing strip along the long sides. On the north and east sides, there are Gothic-arched recesses, which are blocked with slate and have brick dressings. The vault is separated by a path from the vestry located to the north of the northeast end of the church. It is obscured to the west by a baffle wall and oil tanks. This vault is included as a typical graveyard structure that has good group value with the church, situated at the entrance to the churchyard.
