Description
This is a milepost located in Richards Castle, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features twin angled destination name plates with a sloping connecting top plate. The milepost is supported by an angle-section post with curved brackets. The destination plates indicate distances to Tenbury (8 miles), Lemster (10 miles), and Ludlow (1 mile). The top plate is inscribed with "Richards Castle Parish."
