Description
Whitcliffe Hill and the attached wall are mid-19th century houses that have been converted into a single residence. The building features a roughcast and imitation timber-frame exterior over rubble, with a plain tile roof and brick end stacks. It has a two-unit plan and stands two stories tall, showcasing a three-window range. The central window is a wood mullion light with an ornate wooden case, sill, and consoles, flanked by casement windows that have mullions and pointed heads, all set beneath a gable adorned with decorative barge-boards and deep eaves.
The main entrance consists of a central pair of battened plank doors with pointed heads, enriched panels, and simple hoods, flanked by wood mullion and transom windows featuring metal glazing bars. At the rear, there is a central mullion and transom light with metal glazing bars under a brick segmental arch, flanked by 20th-century casements beneath timber lintels. The building is connected to No. 1 Whitcliffe Hill by a rubble wall that has a pediment, a central 20th-century opening with a plank door, and two tall, thin recesses with pointed heads.
