Description
This is a milepost located in Batchcott, Richards Castle, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features twin angled destination name plates connected by a sloping top plate. The milepost is supported by an angle-section post with curved brackets. The destination plates indicate distances to Ludlow (2 miles) and Lemster (8 miles), while the top plate is marked with "Richards Castle Parish."
