Description

Clock House, located to the north-west of Moor Park, is a stable block that has been converted into a house, dating from around 1870. It is constructed of brick and features hipped and gabled roofs covered with plain tiles, along with two brick-panelled ridge chimneys.

The building is two storeys high and has corbelled brick eaves. The facade consists of a four-window range, flanked by projecting wings that each have a single window on both floors. The windows are two-light multi-pane casements with shallow brick segmental-arched lintels that have raised keystones. In the center, there is a red-brick and stone pedimented tablet displaying the arms of the Foster family, topped with an ornamental brick gable that features a large clock face with a hoodmould above it.

On the ground floor to the right, there is a six-panelled door with a top light, flanked by one mullion and transom multi-pane window on either side, all of which are set under shallow brick arches. To the left, there is an elliptical brick arch that once served as a stable opening, now fitted with a 20th-century door. The ground-level lintels throughout have shallow brick arches with projecting keystones and segmental hoodmoulds. The right return side and rear of the building have various plain multi-pane casements with simple shallow brick arched lintels. The left return side features an extended two-storey range with simplified window openings set half a storey lower than the main building, due to the sloping ground.

The interior has not been inspected. The Clock House is included for its group value with Moor Park.
