8/23 Urn-shaped memorial - approximately 15m south- east of chancel of Church of St Edith

GV II

Urn-shaped tomb. Circa 1805. Limestone. Large urn on circular moulded pedestal with cast-iron bracket for former finial to top. Inscription (1805) on north largely indecipherable at time of re-survey (1985), but inscription on south commemorates Elizabeth (died 1824), 'relict' of Nathan Porteus.
