House, now restaurant. Early to mid-C17. Timber framed with plaster and painted brick infill on painted dressed sandstone plinth, partly rebuilt in painted brick. Plain tile roof. Framing: front wall and gable with closely-spaced uprights (in three tiers from sole plate wall plate). Side walls of small square panels (3 from sole plate to wall plate) with short straight corner braces. 3 framed bays at right angles to road. One storey and attic. Gable end to front with shaped barge boards. Left-and right-hand return fronts each have a gabled eaves dormer with 2-light diamond-leaded wooden casement. Brick stack to right of ridge. Canted attic oriel window of 1-:2-:1- diamond-leaded lights with hipped top and supported on 2 wooden brackets. Ground-floor small-paned (4 x 3) window with weathering, flanking applied half-balusters, and narrow side lights. Half-glazed door in left-hand return front with 2 ogee-headed panels and gabled porch. Interior not inspected.
