Tallat About 100 Metres North West Of New Weston Farnhouse

Tallat, located about 100 metres northwest of New Weston Farmhouse, is an 18th-century timber-framed structure built on a high rubble plinth with a corrugated iron roof. The building comprises 13 framed bays, with cowhouses on the ground floor and a hay loft above. The ground floor features four entrances leading into the cowhouses. The southern side of the framing is open to facilitate hay drying, while the northern side is weatherboarded with single rectangular panels. The trusses typically consist of two queen struts supporting a collar, along with two raking struts above, a ridge, and three trenched purlins on each slope. The gables are made of rubble and include a lunette vent in the east gable, which is dressed in brick.
