Description

The Edmund Cheese memorial, dating from around 1812, is located approximately 3 meters north of the northwest corner of the Church of St Mary in Kington. This memorial is made of sandstone and features a rectangular urn topped with a coved and fluted lid. It is set on a stepped plinth, which was formerly surrounded by a railing. The memorial commemorates Edmund Cheese of Ridgebourne, Kington, who passed away in 1812, along with his family.
