Description
The Wych House is an early 19th-century house located on Church Road in Kington. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a graduated stone-slate roof with a central brick stack that has three diagonally-set chimneys, along with a stack at the rear. The house is a single storey with an attic.
The central entrance has an early 20th-century half-glazed door and porch. To the right of the entrance, there are early 20th-century 6/6 and 10/10 sash windows, while to the left, there is a 10/10 sash window and a two-sided bow window with 6/6 sashes, all with ashlar lintels. The façade includes three semi-dormers with early 20th-century 8/8 sashes beneath sham timber-framed gables.
On the left side, there is an early 20th-century 6/6 sash window with an ashlar lintel above a canted bay window featuring three plain sashes. The right side is roughcast. At the rear, there is a wing covered with plain tiles and a late 19th-century cross-window.
