Description
This milestone, located about 1570 metres southeast of the Church of St Faith, dates from around 1840. It is made of painted cast iron and has a triangular shape with a raked top. The pedestal is smaller than the top and features cavetto corners. The edges of the inscription panels are raised. The top of the milestone reads "DORSTON/PARISH," while the left side indicates "TO/ HAY/ 7/ MILES," and the right side shows "To/ PETERCHH/ 2/ MILES."
