Description

Park Terrace comprises three houses, dating from the 17th century with extensions added in the mid-18th century, and some alterations in the mid-20th century. The houses are timber-framed with brick and painted brick infill, and have machine-tile roofs. Originally two framed bays aligned north/south, they were extended by two bays to the north and one to the south. The west front has two storeys and features two plus one plus one windows. Most of the windows are 3-light casements, with one 2-light window to the right of centre on both the ground and first floors. The entrance to No. 3 is between two windows to the left, and includes a half-glazed porch and ledged and boarded door. No. 2 has a moulded wooden architrave and a half-glazed door. The entrance to No. 1 is through a 20th-century half-glazed porch located within the right-hand gable. The 17th-century portion exhibits framing with three square panels, straight tension braces, and a raised panel added during the 18th century. The building is included on the list for its group value.
