Description
Whitegate is a house dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the early 20th century. It is a stuccoed villa featuring a hipped slate roof and has an irregular plan, typically two rooms deep. The house has two central stacks and a central entrance on the garden front, with an additional entrance on the road front. It stands two storeys high, with the garden front displaying an outer projecting bay and a layout of 1:1:1 windows, which are sashes with marginal glazing. A central cast iron portico leads to a half-glazed inner door, and a similar portico and door are found on the road front. The building is included for its group value.
