Description

Orcop War Memorial is situated at the junction of Pontrilas Road and Garway Road on a green area. It features a stone Latin cross with fleur de lys ends and a carved collar, which stands atop a tapering octagonal shaft. This shaft rises from a square pedestal placed on a two-stepped square base.

The front face of the plinth is incised with the words "IN MEMORY OF/ ORCOP PARISHIONERS/ WHO FELL IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1919/ LIVE THOU FOR ENGLAND/ AS WE FOR ENGLAND DIED." Additionally, two other faces are inscribed with the names of the fallen.
