Description

Stibbard War Memorial is located at The Pound in Stibbard, Norfolk. It features a Latin cross on a tapering octagonal shaft, which has an engraved shield halfway up the front face. The shaft is supported by a square plinth with decorative shoulders, standing on a two-stepped base.

The front face of the plinth is inscribed with the words: "IN PROUD AND GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919." The other three faces of the plinth list the names of the fallen.

On the top step of the base, there is a later inscription that reads: "THE WORLD WAR 1939 – 1946 (NAME)." The memorial is made of Clipsham stone.
