Description

This is a dovecote located about 50 yards west of Barton Court. It is believed to date from the late medieval period to the 16th century and was likely restored around 1845. The structure is made of rendered rubble and features a plain tiled roof with a timber cupola. It has a circular plan and is accessed through a low doorway on the east side, with a remnant of a wall to the right. There are two small openings below the eaves, and the cupola has two rows of entries. Inside, there are no potence beams, but there are seven ledges with two rows of 26 holes each.
