Description
Preston Court is a house located in Preston-on-Wye, dating from the early 19th century but incorporating some remains from the 16th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a tile roof, with a stack positioned on the right-hand return wall and another stack axially placed to the left of center. The west front is two storeys high and slightly recessed to the left, topped with a hipped roof. It has one window plus three, including a glazing-bar sash to the left and two 16-pane sashes flanking another glazing-bar sash. All windows have segmental heads. The entrance, situated between the two windows on the right, features an open pedimented doorcase with fluted pilasters, a fanlight, and a flush panelled door. Inside, the kitchen at the rear retains 16th-century moulded ceiling beams.
