Description

The churchyard cross in Preston-on-Wye is likely from the 14th century and is constructed from ashlar stone. It features a square base step topped by a socket stone. The socket stone is square at the bottom and transitions to an octagonal shape, which includes a small semi-circular niche on the west face. There is also a fragment of an octagonal stem set within the socket.
