5/3 Morgan monument about 10 yards south of south east corner of - chancel of Church of St Faith

GV II

Head-stone. Early C19. For baby twins, Walter and Margaret Morgan, died 1826. Sandstone, shaped top, light relief carved enrichments with 2 oval memorial tablets below central text capped by 2 archaic putti. The finely incised lettering contrasts with the execution of the figures. Forms a part of a good church yard group to south of Church of St Faith; included as a late example of local vernacular craftsmanship.
