Description
The monument to Thomas Morgan is located in the churchyard about 45 metres south of the southeast buttress of the Church of St Mary. This early 19th-century chest tomb is made of sandstone and features a pyramidal top with a moulded edge. The north panel has a sunk margin, while the south panel had fallen at the time of the survey in November 1983. The monument has a chamfered base and is set on a sub-base. Although it commemorates Thomas Morgan, who died in 1821, the design of the monument suggests it may be from a slightly earlier period. It is situated north of the John Roberts monument.
