Description
This barn, located about 5 metres north of The Crown Inn, dates from the 17th century and has some early 19th-century extensions. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill set on a coursed rubble plinth, and it has been extended with coursed rubble and a slate roof. The barn likely consists of three framed bays oriented north to south, with an extension to the south that includes a threshing floor. The east front has a full-height entrance on the left side in the 19th-century section, while the right side features three small doors at ground level and small casements just below the eaves. The framing consists of three square panels high, raised by a narrow rectangular panel from the 19th century. The gable end showcases 17th-century cross-framing in the gable truss, creating a lozenge pattern. The Crown Inn is not included in this listing.
