Description
The Crown Inn with attached barn is a public house and barn dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared limestone rubble with ashlar quoins, featuring concrete tile and pantile roofs, as well as stone-coped gables. The building has two ashlar gable stacks, one of which is external and has paired shafts with moulded cornices.
The front of the building is two storeys high and consists of five bays. There is an off-centre planked door that is sheltered by a gabled porch supported on timber brackets. To the left of the door, there are two three-light windows and a blank opening, while to the right is a similar window. On the first floor, there are three similar windows and another blank opening. All openings are topped with timber lintels.
Attached to the right is a single-storey barn that features a single breather and two blocked doorways, both of which also have timber lintels.
