Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 10 meters south of Upper Ridway Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and has a corrugated metal roof. It is a rectangular building featuring a stack and an oven at the west gable end. There is a later external stair on the north side that provides access to the loft space. The building is single storey with an attic. There is a square-headed opening below the eaves to the right of the loft entry, and a square-headed doorway with a ledged door leading to the ground floor below. This outbuilding is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
