Description
This is a large two-storey outbuilding, cowhouse, and loft from the later 19th century, with a single-storey section at the north end. It is constructed from rubble stone and features steeply pitched slate roofs. The main range has a west-facing front with three ground floor doors that have red brick cambered heads, and there are outside steps to the right leading up to a loft door. There are two small central loft windows and a north stack. At the rear and south end, there is a lean-to range that is hipped at the southeast angle, with two doors located in the south end.
This outbuilding is part of a notably large and distinctive later 19th-century farmstead, which was likely completely rebuilt after 1857, as indicated by a sale map showing a different layout. The condition of the building is poor.
