Description

This bridge, located about 100 yards north-north-west of the Church of St John the Baptist, is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and is aligned north-north-east to south-south-west. The bridge features two semi-circular headed arches and has parapets with flat copings that splay out at the ends. At the south end, the parapets extend into a pair of sandstone pinnacles that stand approximately seven feet high. This structure is included for its group value.
