Description
Leet Bridge, located over Leet Water in Swintonmill, is possibly from the late 18th century and has undergone later repairs. It features three arches spanning the water. The bridge is constructed from harl-pointed sandstone rubble, with some areas of weathered droved sandstone dressings and brick repairs. The central arch is large and segmental, showcasing prominent voussoirs with the lower halves slightly recessed and raised keystones. To the left and right, there are smaller round-arched overflow arches, also with prominent flush voussoirs. The walls are heavily pointed and splayed, topped with arched coping, while the lower splayed ends have some rendered and squared coping.
