Description
Swan Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a mid-20th century extension and alterations. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a timber-frame structure, topped by a Welsh slate roof. The end stack is made of extruded sandstone rubble with a detached brick shaft. The extension is rendered. The cottage has a rectangular plan consisting of two timber-framed bays aligned northwest to southeast, with a full-height extension at the northwest end. It is one storey with an attic. The northeast elevation has two mid-20th century gabled dormers, each with contemporary 2-light glazing bar sashes. The ground floor has a pair of similar windows and an early 20th century porch to the left of centre. The interior has not been inspected.
