Description

These are two early 19th-century houses located on the west side of St Martin’s Street, Hereford. The houses are built of painted brick and have a Welsh slate roof, with a central axial ridge stack. They are three storeys high and have a two-window front. The right-hand window is a 6/6 sash under a segmental arch, while the left-hand window has been replaced with a 20th-century light, also under a segmental arch. Above are three 3/3 sash windows. Brick eaves with modillions run along the top. The ground floor features two 6/6 sash windows, flanked by a 20th-century six-panel door to the right and a 20th-century door to the left, each set within a gauged brick segmental arch. A one-story leanto wing extends to the rear, featuring brick eaves with modillions and tall brick stacks. The properties are included on the list for their group value.
