Description

These are two early 19th-century houses located on the west side of St Martin’s Street, Hereford. They are built of painted brick, with a Welsh slate roof. The houses are two storeys high, with a cellar, and feature a two-window front. The windows are 6/6 sashes set beneath segmental arches, and have brick eaves with modillion detail. To the left of the front, an early 20th-century addition includes a 6-panel door beneath a damaged semicircular brick archway, alongside a 6/6 sash window. To the right, a 19th-century entrance consists of a 6-panel door with an overlight and decorative glazing bars. A 24-light bow window is situated to the right, sheltered by a moulded fascia board and a hood supported by narrow pilasters. A rear wing features a brick ridge stack positioned cross-axially.
