Description
This is an outbuilding located about 15 yards north-west of Benhall, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a rectangular symmetrical plan that faces south-south-east and is one storey high.
On the south elevation, there are two glazing-bar sash windows, each under a slightly cambered head, positioned on either side of an advanced central gable. This gable includes one small light above the entry, wavy bargeboards, and a pendant at the apex. The window cills are supported by a pair of brackets.
This outbuilding is noted to have been the earliest purpose-built estate office for the Guy's Hospital Estate in Herefordshire. It occupies a prominent elevated position next to Benhall and is included for its group value.
