PIXLEY CP POOLEND COURT The Barn Former barn about 35 yards east of former Poolend Farmhouse

(Formerly listed as Barn about 35 yards east of Poolend Farmhouse)

GV II Former Barn. Probably late C17 to early C18. Timber-frame, sandstone rubble and brick infill with weatherboards and tiled roof. Four bays aligned north-east/south-west with full-height entry in second bay from left and ledged door to extreme left. Frame is four panels high from cill to wall-plate. Corrugated roofed brick lean-to right of entry. Interior: raking struts from ties to principals. Forms part of the farm complex to former Poolend Farmhouse (qv). (RCHM Vol II, p 155).
