Description
Bridge Cottages is a pair of cottages, likely built in the mid to late 18th century and raised in height in the mid-19th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and brick infill panels, topped with a raised slate roof and featuring a central stack. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of two bays, facing northeast to southwest.
On the northeast elevation, the front wall of the northern cottage is built in brick. The cottages have matching late 19th-century two-light casement windows, with two on the ground floor and four on the first floor. There is one ledged entrance door on the left and another on the right, both situated under a gabled porch. The timber frame has thin scantling and three panels high to the former wall plate, while the gable ends still show the diagonal struts from the earlier roof.
