Description

House. It likely dates from the 17th century. The house is timber-framed with a slate roof, the left-hand wing having a hipped form. It has an L-shaped layout. The south elevation is divided into two sections: a taller, hipped cross-wing aligned north/south with a side chimney stack to the west and the main entrance; and to the right, a two-storey east wing with a prominent external chimney stack at the gable end. Both sections have one window each on the south elevation, with 20th-century casement windows in a regular arrangement. A 19th-century gabled porch, supported by timber posts, sits at the junction of the two wings, and contains a late 20th-century ledged door. The timber frame is characterised by regular panels extending from the cill to the wall plates, approximately four panels high.
