Description

Ashley House is a house that possibly dates from the early 18th century. It has a timber-frame structure with plaster panels and stands four high, topped with a slate roof. The house features an external local stone stack with a detached brick shaft and has a rectangular plan aligned east to west. It is two storeys tall and consists of three bays. The south elevation has regularly spaced late 20th-century casement windows arranged in pairs, except for one window above the entrance porch, which is mid-20th century and has a lean-to roof. There is a large two-storey 20th-century extension at the rear, which is not included in the listing. The house is included for its group value.
