Description

Beech Tree House, located on Overbury Road in Hereford, is an early 19th-century house. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a brick end stack on the right and a 19th-century ornamented stack on the left. The house has two storeys and a three-window range, with a central 6/6 sash window flanked by two 10/10 sashes, all set under segmental arches. The central entrance consists of a margin-glazed panelled door beneath a segmental arch, situated in a late 19th-century porch that has double doors, panelling, and coloured margin-glazing. To the left of the entrance is an 8/8 sash window, and to the right is a 10/10 sash window, with all sashes equipped with louvred shutters.

There is a wing to the right, likely added later, which contains two 10/10 sash windows and one on the ground floor, all under segmental arches and with shutters. The left side of the house features a late 19th-century brick bay with a tier of 10/10 sashes. Additionally, a rear wing, known as Danesmere, was added around 1880. This wing is also made of brick and has a slate roof with various stacks, 2/1 sash windows (some in bay windows), and decorative terracotta and moulded brick ornamentation, along with a conservatory.
