Description
Kilmorie Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It features a timber frame with wattle and daub and brick panels, and has rubble end walls topped by a half-hipped tiled roof. The building is one storey with an attic and consists of three bays. The central bay has a 19th-century 12-pane casement window, while the left bay has a small single-pane window. The left gable includes two paired 6-pane casements, and there is a raking dormer over the central bay. A ledged 19th-century door is located to the left of the central bay. A large brick ridge stack is positioned at the junction of the central and right bays. To the left of the entrance, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with a tiled roof. The frame of the cottage varies between two and two-and-a-bit panels from the cill to the wall-plate levels, with the panels generally having a vertical emphasis. The corner posts feature straight struts to the front wall-plate, and there are weatherings to the gable tie-beams.
