Description

Drybridge House is a mid-18th century house that has been converted into a day centre and warden's flat. It was completely restored around 1980, while retaining its original facade. The building is constructed of brick with a stone plinth and features a graduated Welsh slate roof, which has a central gable at the front and brick-coped gable parapets. The house has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range that includes 6/6 sash windows set under gauged brick flat arches. There is a storey band and moulded eaves, with a central gable above an advanced bay that contains a semicircular sash window and an arch.

The central entrance features a six-panel door with an ornamental fanlight, which is sheltered by a deep moulded semicircular hood supported by decorated brackets and panelled pilasters. This entrance is flanked by pairs of 6/6 sash windows, also under gauged brick flat arches, and there are returned brick pilasters. On the right side of the building, there are returned bands and a 6/6 sash window under a gauged brick flat arch, with a casement window above it. A stone tablet on this side reads "B & I Bird 1742." The wall continues to the right, now part of a lean-to. The left side of the building is similar in design. The interior does not contain any notable features.
