Description
2 and 3 Duke Street are 18th-century houses located in Kington. They are constructed of painted brick and feature a Welsh slate roof, with plain tiles on the steeper rear pitch. The buildings have three storeys and a four-window range, showcasing 6/6 sash windows under gauged brick flat arches, along with a 4/4 sash window and a 4/4 sliding sash window to the right. The central entrances consist of part-glazed six-panel doors, with a 20th-century door to the left, flanked by 6/6 sash windows and a plank door to the right, all beneath gauged brick flat arches. The left side of the building has a roughcast gable. The rear wings of No. 2 feature a large rubble stack with a 20th-century gable rooflet and brick chimney, a steeply pitched plain tile roof, roughcast finish, and weatherboarding.
