Description

The dairy, built in the late 19th century, is located about 20 yards north of The Hall in Brampton Bryan. It is constructed of brick with sandstone dressings and features a hipped tiled roof adorned with cresting and a brick end stack. The building has a rectangular plan, aligned east to west, with polygonal ends.

On the south elevation, there are two windows with glazing bar sashes that are protected by iron bars. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door with a cambered head. In front of the dairy, there is a loggia that supports the overhanging roof, featuring four brick columns, each with a stone base and a scalloped capital. The left end stack has moulded bricks forming a deep cornice with a diagonal shaft. Wooden ball finials are positioned at each end of the ridge.

Inside, the dairy has white glazed tiled walls, slate benches, and hooks.
