Description

Phoenix Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, restored and extended in the mid-20th century. The original, timber-framed section has a slate roof, while a catslide extension dating from the mid-20th century projects to the north. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, featuring two gabled dormers on the south side. A plain, ledged door and flanking windows are situated in the north catslide extension. The gable end facing east displays an exposed timber frame with three panels from the cill to the plate and struts to the collar. A large chimney is located at the west end. The timber frame of the original cottage remains complete.
