Description
Apple Leaves is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with alterations from the 18th century and later, as well as a 20th-century rear extension. The building is timber framed and has a rough rendered exterior. It features a red plain tiled gambrel roof with two catslide dormers and has red brick chimney stacks at the rear and right. The cottage is one storey with attics and has a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sash windows with pentice boards above, along with small paned casements in the attics. Much of the original timber frame is visible inside, showcasing heavy studding, top plates, and tie beams. There is also a later timber framed extension at the rear.
