Description
The building is a cider house located at the rear of a cottage, with an attached outbuilding, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a double Roman tile roof. The structure consists of two bays and two levels, although the left side is partially obscured by a later outhouse, which is not included in the listing. The ground floor of the right-hand bay is open and it houses a complete working cider press. This cider house is part of a smallholder's unit situated on reclaimed land that was once marshy. The central truss features raking struts above the collar, supported by two queen posts.
