Description
This barn, located approximately 80 meters north-west of the Church of St Peter, dates from the 17th century and has some minor later additions. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and gable ends, with part of the upper walls constructed from timber framing, and is topped with stone slate roofs. The barn consists of six bays arranged in a north-west to south-east direction, with a threshing floor located towards the south-east of the center, flanked by lean-tos and covered by a continuous catslide roof that forms a porch. There are two framed doorways leading to the byre in the south-east gable end, and the framing includes two square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, supported by inclined strut trusses.
