Description

CANON PYON CP - SO 44 NE 5/16 Stables and hayloft about 10 yards west of Kinford Farmhouse GV II Stables and hayloft. Probably C18 with later alterations and addition: Sandstone rubble plinth with weatherboarded timber-frame and corrugated iron roof. Rectangular three-bay plan aligned north-east/south-west. Two levels. South-east elevation has two square loft openings, one to left of centre, the other to right-hand side set on weatherboarding. Sandstone rubble ground floor has two windows both cast iron late C19 of six panes with top vents, one to left-hand side, the other to right of centre. Stable door between windows. Wagon entry to right-hand side. Attached to left-hand side is mid-C19 brick lean-to with stable door. Interior has trusses with raking struts. Included for group value. (RCHM, Vol II, p 48).
