Description

Hazle Court is a farmhouse with attached stables and a granary, likely built in the 17th century, with an extension added in the late 18th to early 19th century. The building features a timber frame with brick and plaster infill, tiled roofs, and a brick stack, while the stables and granary are constructed from sandstone rubble. The structure is a long range oriented west-south-west to east-south-east, with two gable fronts of the farmhouse located on the right side of the south elevation. To the left, there is a rubble continuation that contains the stables and granary.

The timber-framed section has two storeys and two windows, which are modern casements with two and three lights. There is an entrance in a gabled glazed porch to the left. The timber frame consists of four panels high from the cill to the wall-plate, and the gables feature V-struts above the collars, supported by two posts in the left gable and one in the right gable, which also has angle struts from the corner posts. The extension to the left of the glazed porch is made of rubble and includes two casements, one on each floor, as well as vent-slits on the first floor and a stable door to the left of the ground-floor window.
