Description

Granary, later converted into three houses, dating from the 17th century with alterations in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is timber-framed with painted brick and rendered infill, set upon a painted rubble plinth, and topped with a tile roof. It likely originally comprised four bays aligned north-east to south-west. The south-east front, which faces the street, has one storey and an attic, with seven 20th-century gabled dormers. The ground floor windows are irregularly placed, featuring seven windows, mostly 2-light casements. A 20th-century oriel window with a lean-to tiled roof is located to the left of centre. The left-hand gable has been refaced in painted brick. Rear entrances are present. The timber framing is arranged in four square panels in height. A worn inscription on a rail at the left-hand end reads, "GENTLEMEN AND GENTLEWOMEN ... ... OF ENVY HATRED AND MALICE FOR ... ...".
