Description

This is a shelter shed dating from the 18th century, located approximately 20 meters northeast of Lower Ponthendre. It has undergone minor alterations in the 20th century. The structure is built from sandstone rubble and features a roof that is partly covered with stone slate and partly with corrugated metal. The shed consists of four bays aligned east to west, facing a foldyard to the south, which has an open wall on that side. The wall-plate is supported by three circular piers, and it has inclined strut trusses. The nearby Lower Ponthendre Farmhouse has been altered and is not included in this listing.
