Description

Parkfields is a house dating from the 17th century, raised in the early 19th century with some late 20th-century repairs. It features a timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill on a coursed rubble plinth, topped by a tile roof. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned north to south. There are external rubble stacks with brick shafts at both gable ends. The west front has two storeys and includes two 2-light casement windows under gablets. The ground floor has two 3-light casement windows beneath plank weatherings. The entrance, located to the left of centre, features a gabled tiled canopy and a six-panel door, with the upper four panels glazed. The framing consists of three square panels high, raised by a rectangular panel. The gable-end trusses have three struts to the collar and V-struts in the apex.
