Description

This is a barn located approximately 20 metres north-west of The Townend, likely dating from the 17th century. It is timber-framed and features weatherboard cladding along with some remaining woven infill. The roof is made of corrugated metal. The barn has five bays that are aligned north to south, with a threshing floor situated in the second bay from the north. An inserted floor has been added to the barn. The structure includes three square panels that extend from the sill to the wall-plate, and the trusses have inclined struts leading to the principals, without a collar.
